A Joyful Start to Lifelong Learning
Play, community, and discovery with Jewish learning for children ages 2–5 in a warm, inclusive environment.
About Our Program
At Temple Beth Sholom Preschool, we believe that young children learn best through play, exploration, and connection.
Our licensed early childhood program welcomes children ages 2–5 from all backgrounds — Jewish and other traditions — into a safe, nurturing, inclusive space where curiosity, creativity, and kindness thrive.
As an integral part of Temple Beth Sholom, preschool children and families have the unique opportunity to build relationships with other families, celebrate the joyful cycle of the Jewish week and year, and join learning and social action opportunities for families and adults.
Each day, children engage in joyful, hands-on experiences that build confidence, empathy, and independence. Judaism is woven naturally into our days through music, stories, and traditions that teach values like community, gratitude, and Tikkun Olam (repairing the world).
Our classrooms extend outdoors into a large, secure play yard, where children move, imagine, and explore in ways that support healthy physical and social development. At Temple Beth Sholom Preschool, every child is seen, celebrated, and supported as a unique individual.

MarMarch 21 , 2026Live from TBS - It’s Saturday Night!
Shabbat, Mar 21st 6:00p to 9:00p
Join TBS as we put the funny in fundraising with Live From TBS - It's Saturday Night! Tickets include full dinner and drink ticket, access to our silent auction, and a terrific comedy show featuring 3 comedians! This is sure to be a night to remember, all while performing the mitzvah of raising funds for TBS! Our lineup for the evening includes: PAT MCCOY was voted in high school “Most Likely to Recede". He refuses to grow up, which might explain his knack for turning everyday absurdities into sharp, self-deprecating comedy. Whether he's poking fun at himself or the ever-evolving chaos of modern life, Pat brings a laid-back honesty that audiences instantly connect with. He's shared the stage with comedy icons like Brian Regan, George Lopez, and the late, great Robin Williams. ADAM FELSON is a local comic and a member of the Improv Troupe "Withering Scorn". He can be seen at various shows in the Bay Area. JEFF APPLEBAUM made his national TV debut on CBS as a comedian on the “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.” He has also appeared on Comics Unleashed and ComedyTV, Byron Allen’s nationally syndicated Entertainment Studios program, ABC-TV, America’s Got Talent on NBC, and has opened for and performed with comic legends Robert Klein, Mort Sahl, Richard Lewis, Robin Williams, Dana Carvey, Kevin Pollak, Elayne Boosler, Jimmy “JJ” Walker, and more. His DryBar Comedy Special was released in 2020, and he’s also a frequent guest on KGO Radio, AM810 in San Francisco, CA. -

Sunday, Mar 29th 7:00p to 8:15p
Torah and Judaism were made for times just like these. Explore wisdom that has guided people through dark times for millenia. No prior experience required. The Torah is a story of a group of enslaved people who found liberation and endeavored to build a society completely unlike the one they had escaped. From this formed a tradition focused on justice, equity, and freedom from oppression: Judaism! This discussion-based two-part learning series builds on our previous Exodus as Resistance session, though you do not have to have attended that. No prior experience required; all levels will find this meaningful. -
