Jewish Learning for Adults

Jewish learning is a conversation across the table and across the centuries.

Engage in deep conversations with people from diverse backgrounds about timeless human experiences and contemporary questions, drawing on the richness of Jewish wisdom. Through Jewish learning, we understand ourselves and the world around us in new ways. TBS's Adult Learning sessions cater to both seasoned learners and those new to Jewish studies.

Rabbi Akiva, one of the greatest Jewish sages of all time, began learning only at age 40. It’s never too late to start your Jewish learning journey!

Contact Rabbi Josh Weisman if you would like to join us.

If you would like to explore conversion to Judaism at TBS, please contact Rabbi Josh Weisman.

Jewish Roots & Branches: Jewish Learning for Curious Adults

We're very excited to announce a new Jewish learning series -- Jewish Roots and Branches: Jewish learning for curious adults.

This series is specifically designed for adults who had little or no Jewish education in their formative years and would like to explore foundational Jewish topics and ideas in a sophisticated way.

All sessions will be on Sundays, 7:00-8:00 PM:
March 9, April 6, April 27, May 18, & June 8

Likely topics include Jewish holidays, core values/concepts, Tikkun Olam (repair of the world / Jewish social justice), and Jewish wisdom for living in times of social and ecological crisis. Rabbi Josh hopes to incorporate little bites of Hebrew and little windows into the diversity of Jewish cultures throughout the world and throughout history.

Our 1st session is on Sunday, March 9 at 7:00 PM
