Gersten Religious School

About our Program

Our religious school program has been created in response to the desires of the parents, children, and the community for substantive education, that will be the foundation for a lifelong practice of Judaism. This refocusing will result in a strong, sophisticated, meaningful, and relevant curriculum for Temple Beth Sholom's students.

The program is divided into core age groups, with curricula and hours of instruction appropriate to each. The experiential learning environment, ever improving teaching staff, and parent involvement help make our program educational, as well as stimulating and fun. This creates a true spiral curriculum, in which each subject is treated in increasingly sophisticated and differentiated ways as the student moves through the years. Special activities are integrated directly into the students’ learning of each subject area in the classroom, group activities, family programming, and experiential learning.

Our commitment to Jewish living and values, as reflected in our programming, expands our students' Jewish horizons and enriches their Jewish souls.
